From the very first days of the Halton Apprentice music was always an integral part of life. Bands provided a soundtrack to the comings and goings as the Brats marched up and down the hill led by an enthusiastic band providing a compelling beat to keep everyone in step as they attended schools and workshops. Displayed here is an original tenor drum authenticated as belonging to one of the first bands of 1926.
